Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
My approach was to create a model that had huge popularity.  Dwyane Johnson came to mind as he had starred in numerous movies at the time and had the kind of fan base I thought I could reach.  I started by modeling a low poly base mesh with basic features.  From there, I sculpted the high detail in Mudbox and textures were made in Photoshop.  I created multiple maps including Diffuse, Specular, Epidermal Scatter, Subdermal Scatter and Back Scatter along with Normals, Diffuse and Ambient Occlusion maps.   I used Mudbox to create a base texture and from there I added fine detail in Photoshop.  A simple rig was added to the bust to pose it.  From there, I added a Sub Surface Scatter material to the model and applied the maps I created.  Using Vray lights, I went through multiple iterations of lighting until I found the look I was going for. Once the final render was complete I composited the background and added some special effects.
